A two-page spread originally commissioned by curator Lars Bang Larsen for Lettre Magazine's America issue, The Law & Its Double presents a graphic chart made by the Department of Justice on the right side and a text written by the artist on the left side. Called "The Challenge of Crime in a Free Society" the chart allegedly helps citizens navigate the criminal justice system. At two million and growing, the US currently has the highest proportion of incarcerated citizens in the world. The text encapsulates the results of the artist's research into different facets of the current US legal code that help define the national identity.
