A two screen installation about a woman having a real (or possibly imagined) affair, Entrance:Desire probes the links between subjectivity, desire and space. Each screen is shot within the same domestic space but with variations, so that each screen serves as an imperfect mirror of the other. The lack of distinction between a flashback and the present, the merging of individual identities and the refusal of narrative closure are all ways in which the installation references the language of cinema but also expands out and away from it. Synched audio and precise editing bind the two screens together, keeping the disparate elements from splintering apart and transforming the filmic dimensions into an installation.
